While they may have seemed like an insanely overpriced piece of junk at the time of release, some of them are worth well over double their initial price. That is certainly not a bad investment. Well, a few years later, and a used copy is worth in the ballpark of $300. That’s more than double the initial investment. It doesn’t get much better than that in terms of collector’s editions.

This is highly sought after by collectors for its gold Wii Remote Plus that came bundled with the game. Not only that, this limited edition cost only $70, which is actually quite a reasonable deal for the game with a Wii Remote. It even included a music CD featuring orchestral arrangements of select songs from the game.

Currently, the bundle is valued at about $125, which is a pretty good return on the $70 investment. Even if you bought it with no intention of selling, it’s still a solid deal for the game and really cool looking Wii Remote.

That’s more than triple the initial cost, and the game has not even been out for long. Will the value keep going up, or will it slow down once the hype of Namco Bandai’s screw up goes away? Time will tell, but regardless, if you were lucky enough to grab one of these, you have certainly made a solid video game investment.
